The 18-year-old looked as though he had a future at Anfield, but he ended up joining Fiorentina in the summer. That was after his agent, Saif Rubie, claimed that the Reds were hurting his mental health by the way they were treating him. Rubie, it seems, is something of a trouble-maker, with him also having received a six-week ban and a £10,000 fine for improper comments he made on Twitter last year.
Duncan, though, appears to have seen the light in regards to his representative, and it has now emerged that the two have parted ways. This has led to plenty of reaction from the club’s supporters on Twitter.
Call yourself a Liverpool expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?
Many have still not forgiven the teenager, it seems.
No-one other than those at the club, and of course the player himself, knows exactly what happened during the end of Duncan’s stay, so maybe their reaction to the situation is slightly harsh.
Others have said that this should have happened early.
Had a different representative been in charge of his affairs during the summer, this whole sorry situation would perhaps have been avoided.
After this latest developement, it is time for all parties involved to move on.
In other news, Liverpool fans disagree with this official club award.
